Expanding the Range: Daisy’s Oversized Below Ground Box

Our Below Ground Boxes (BGBs) are one of the most discreet, durable, and aesthetically pleasing ways to store a pool cover for maximum longevity, keeping everything tidy and out of sight.

For years, Daisy’s standard BGB has been the go-to solution for pools up to 5.5 metres wide. Now, with an increasing number of customers building extra wide pools, we’ve engineered something even bigger — a two piece Below Ground Box designed to suit pools up to 6.5 metres wide. That’s a massive 7-metre BGB.

How We Make It Happen

Because a single 7m unit would be too large to transport and handle safely, the BGB is built in two halves — a male and female section — joined together by a heavy duty brace that ensures structural integrity and easy assembly. This also means the BGB has a 2 lid system aligned with the central join of the two halves.

Onsite, the installation is straightforward:

• The two halves are slid together in the pit.

• 3 x 10mm stainless bolts secure each side.

• The installer sets the levels, fits the tube and gearbox, and just like that — you’ve got yourself an oversized BGB ready for action.

It takes a little extra setup time, but the result is a flawless, functional, and fully hidden storage system that looks incredible around the pool area.

Our Below Ground Boxes are made from full aluminium construction, with an anodised aluminium lid and heavy-duty braces that reinforce the structure. Daisy’s below ground systems are engineered for both function and finish. The anodised lids sit flush with paving or decking, maintaining a clean, uniform pool surround. By housing the roller underground, the system also extends the life of the pool cover by reducing UV exposure and preventing debris buildup.

The BGB features an internal 3:1 gearbox that makes deploying and recovering a wider pool cover easy with the handle or the drill drive (pictured above) can be added on for a quicker solution.

Below Ground Box Small — For longer or narrower pools up to 4.0m wide and 9m long. Compact, cost-effective, and easy to operate.

Below Ground Box — Our most popular model, this roller is for pools up to 5.5m wide and 15m long.

Deck Mount Roller — For installations on decking or within a pre-made concrete pits. For. pools up to 5.5m wide and 15m long.

BGB Drill Drive — A smart add-on that lets you use a cordless drill to wind the cover, making operation effortless.
