The cover is wrinkly and doesn’t sit flat on the water

  1. When the cover is rolled up and put into a box after manufacture there can be some folding lines or creases in the material. These will eventually disappear as the material has a memory and will always try to lay flat. If you have a roller, you can accelerate the process by leaving the cover rolled up on the roller with the over-cover in place for a few days.

  2. Minor manufacturing distortions in the base material can give it a slightly wrinkly look. This is not a fault, but an unavoidable consequence of the plastic extrusion process.
When Daisy cuts and welds the material to form the finished pool cover, some heat distortion can accentuate this ‘wrinkliness’. The manufacture and welding processes makes this unavoidable and therefore, normal. It does not affect the pool cover’s performance or life span in any way.

An awesome quality cover

Hi, I thought you might like some feedback on your pool covers! Our 400 micron Daisy is 7 years old and was going pretty strong – I honestly think it had one or maybe 2 years still left in it – that was until is was shredded in a very bad hail storm recently. The hail was larger than golf ball size and many rooves in our area were smashed so we are not surprised it was damaged. It was always kept on the pool unless we were swimming and it’s on a roller that is covered from the sun. Yes it was getting a bit brittle but in general for 7 years we have to say it was an awesome quality cover. Thanks Daisy! Let’s hope the new generation of pool covers are even better. Cheers

Michelle
