QLD SPASA Expo Wrap-Up & Entire Expo Review

After a busy few months for our Strategic Accounts Manager, Ben, we've attended the SPASA Expos in VIC, WA, NSW, SA and QLD and learned some fantastic industry insights in the process.

Serving as an excellent opportunity to speak to pool owners, Daisy uses this opportunity to get in front of your customers, build awareness about the product solutions Daisy offers and educate them about the Daisy product, so they can go into your store and request it. Here’s what Ben learnt in the last of the SPASA Expos in Queensland, and the valuable market insights from Daisy’s participation: 

QLD Expo 18 – 19 May

It seems fitting that Queensland was the final show of the year, as the two days combined gave us a diverse range of consumer enquiries and questions. Our below-ground box piqued plenty of interest as always, but we also had a great opportunity to talk through various options with people who had chosen unique pool shapes and sizes.

Most notably, several people opted to visit the Daisy stand on both days of the weekend, highlighting an increased research intent. Queensland also gave us a chance to educate consumers on our Titanium Cool pool cover, designed specifically for those living in considerably warmer climates. A great Expo to end with, having the greatest attendance out of the 2024 Expos.

So, what have we learnt?

A few key trends that emerged highlighted increased consumer research and purchase intent. In some locations Ben reported attendees visiting the Daisy stand multiple times, seeking guidance and recommendations. This is also supported by the SPASA Expo achieving a consistently high footfall in all locations, with customers demonstrating it’s not a case of if they buy a pool cover, but rather ‘which’ pool cover. 

Many attendees demonstrated a keen interest in Daisy Below Ground Boxes and Under Bench Rollers, particularly for new pool builds or renovated pools. Each of these products is cleverly designed to conceal the pool cover and improve the functionality of their outdoor space.

Key takeaways highlight customers are seeking trusted and knowledgeable guidance with a preferred interest in Daisy’s sleek and stylish pool cover solutions. 

Our attendance at the SPASA Expos has been validated with a visitor to our Queensland stand, requesting a Daisy Pool cover from their supplier the next day. That’s why we do it. To position ourselves as the go-to pool cover and drive customers to your business.
