Daisy Dam Covers, helping you save water evaporation!

Daisy Dam Covers are designed to save 99.98% of water evaporation. This is a feature that has proven to be incredibly popular with one of our construction company clients recently. In fact, this client - a major WA infrastructure construction company responsible for building part of WA’s Metronet project - ordered an additional three dam covers after initially installing one and discovering how effective it was!

The original cover was installed back in January onto a Turkey Nest Dam in Dulwich. The cover was 25m x 26.4m, so it provided 655m2 of coverage in total. They simply wanted to prove they could stop evaporation as the winds in the area rip the water right out of the dam, but the results were far more impressive than expected!

Between January 2022 and October 2022, it was calculated that the dam cover at Dulwich saved 706,014 litres. This data was based on the 2022 Perth Metro BOM evaporation data.

 The results were so good, the client decided to go ahead with installing a further three covers on three more of their construction turkey nest dams. They ordered two 30m x 30m covers which were installed in Beechboro and Gnangara and another 50m x 37m cover, installed in Gnangara North to mitigate water loss on the construction dams associated with the Metronet Ellenbrook railway construction. 

Recently we’ve seen a big increase in demand from WA customers looking to use dam covers for water control. Currently we have a number of projects in the South West in production - so stay tuned for more updates on our latest installs!
