Daisy attends 2022’s SPLASH! Pool & Spa Trade Show
Anticipation, buzz and lots of work…what a show!
The Splash! Pool & Spa Trade Show is back, and this year it was bigger and better than ever. After a four year hiatus, it was great to see the Southern hemisphere’s biggest pool and spa show return. Daisy attended for two solid days, showcasing the best of our range of products on the trade show floor alongside other industry experts.
We had a great deal of interest in the Below Ground roller models and the new Drill Drive, but what took the stage was our two new roller colours. The Matte Black models were very well received, and the Anodic Grey models were met with an enthusiastic reception. Going into the event, we were not sure how the Anodic Grey would fare, if the feedback is anything to go by this is the new roller to go for.
The aim with our Anodic Grey models was to offer customers 5 star quality without the price tag and we think we nailed it.
We had a great time catching up with old friends, customers and trade partners to dispel myths, teach and train while showing why Daisy is Australia’s favourite pool cover. Our products generated great buzz all throughout the show, from open to close time Derek, Lee, Shannon, Ben and Gavin were kept so busy that it was at times very hard to get a break!
During the event, Derek, who is an industry advocate and active participant in SPASA Australia, appeared on the panel for The Great Debate to discuss ‘Who is responsible for damaged pool surfaces?’. This was a great platform to get conversations started between pool builders, chemical suppliers, pool cover suppliers, major equipment suppliers, retailers and service providers. The key take away was that with the ever changing and improving world of equipment, we all have a responsibility to communicate and educate trade and consumers on water balance and what the equipment is designed to do. I believe this debate was the starting point for a way forward, SPASA along with the industry can and should do better and we all need to come together to deliver a better experience for the consumer to build confidence in the industry.
